The energy of people, nature, music, writing, and body language inform my artwork. Matters of social justice are a constant concern and I believe art can be a vehicle for social awareness and change.

My education includes Painting, Sculpture and Art History from SUNY Potsdam followed by an apprenticeship at The Johnson Atelier in Princeton NJ (now Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ). For a few years I worked in NYC an artist’s assistant for Alice Aycock, Lauren Ewing, Jane Freilicher and Julian Schnabel in NYC. I hold a master’s degree from Columbia Teacher’s College in Communication, Computing and Technology in Education. After many years in corporate information technology, I left IT to teach Art and Technology to kids. In 2020 I set up my own art studio. I paint and I like to tinker with 3-D assemblages using ceramics, collage, found objects and robotics.
