My nonobjective paintings are a record of how I visualize my consciousness. I pursue the making of art to explore visual communication. Art is a way of opening conversations with other people about what touches us, our unconsciousness or subconsciousness seems to make us more aware of our unexpressed thoughts, and the importance of it. The language I use is my brushwork, color choices, and expressive lines. These are the inner conversation I have with myself. If I reach others with my artwork and evoke an appreciation or greater awareness of this phenomenon in themselves, then I have succeeded. I believe that art provokes and can strengthen our ability to grow intellectually and emotionally.
